Select it, then select the Partition heading. When connected successfully, it should appear in the window or the Disk Utility window. Next, plug in your USB hard drive to the USB slot on your Mac, making sure it is connected with your Mac. Keep the screws with their relevant component by screwing them back in the holes either on the component or on the frame or by taping them to the correct location. It is in the Utilities folder under Applications. Keep careful track of the screws, as well. You can take pictures before each removal or write it down. If you are rebuilding the computer, be sure to document what area you removed components from, the order you removed them, and what cables attach to each part. The metal inside the computer case can be sharp, so you might want gloves, as well. You will need a small Phillips-head screwdriver and depending on the manufacturer of your components, possibly a flathead screwdriver. If it’s not moving, check for more attachments that are holding the component in place. Log into your Apple Account and ensure formatting your system to factory settings. Moreover, we recommend looking for internet recovery and selecting Reinstall OS X. That way, you can connect your MacBook Pro to the router. Make sure you select Wi-Fi from the menu. Disable Automatically check for updates but consider disabling all other related options too. Scroll down the list of payloads to Software Update and click Configure. Provide a name such as Disable Automatic Software Updates in the General payload. In each case, no more than a small amount of force is needed to remove the part. Use the menu and choose the system restore option. In Jamf Pro, choose Computers > Configuration Profiles and click New to create a new profile. Components can be attached to the case with special clips, screws, or by insertion into a holder. Generally, the process is to unplug all the cords and cables connecting a component to other components, then remove the part from the case or frame. If you can’t access a particular component when it’s listed in the guide, skip to the instructions to remove the other parts until you can reach the original component.
